I am watching the coverage of the DOJ and FBI raid on Presidential Trump’s residence and offices in Mara Lago Palm Beach Florida.
Wow! There are several reasons why this is unprecedented. There will be discussions in the coming weeks about just how badly the FBI and DOJ have tarnished and corrupted our Justice System.
Jonathan Turley, an American attorney who is an expert on constitutional law and statutes that govern the three branches of government was interviewed this morning on Fox News. Turley has been a frequent guest on many networks while covering the Trump Russian Collusion accusations, the Hillary illegal email server, the investigation into her illegal destruction of federal records. He also weighed in on the two attempts to impeach President Trump and the activities of the January 6th Committee. He has been absolutely correct in his comments and observations of these events at least nine time out of ten.
Hillary Clinton was CONFIRMED to violate the very same statute that is being used to justify a warrant for an early morning raid on Trump’s Mara Lago home. Yet, there were no raids and warrants for her despite the FACT that she destroyed evidence among the 33,000 emails she deleted and used bleachbit to permanently delete.
How much faith should we have that this is something legal? At this point should we trust everything is on the level?
Well, knowing that the FBI and DOJ used fake information to convince the FISA court to issue warrants against Trump before, and the supposed “evidence” was all faked… at this point we have very little reason to believe this is legitimate.
Obama weaponized the IRS to go after and silence his political opposition. Hillary Clinton and the top leadership at the DNC weaponized our intelligence agencies, the FBI and FISA Court to try and destroy President Trump.
Also note – the very same Obama Administration officials that were part of the push to protect Hillary Clinton for violating the same statute are members of the current Biden Administration. They are the same people who were part of the Obama Administration when they weaponized the IRS to target their political adversaries in 2012. They are the same officials that knew what James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok were doing when they used the fake Russian Dossier to secure warrants from the FISA court to conduct surveillance on high level Trump Campaign team members. The same FISA warrants were used to conduct surveillance on Trump tower as the newly elected presidents transition team were conducting official business.
This looks to be highly suspect given three factors…
1) These powerful tools of the federal government have already been exposed to be corrupted by democrats in Washington several times since 2012.
2) The basis of the raid is apparently about getting access to some of the records from the Trump Administration that fall under either Presidential Library and office purview or related to the national archives. In past occasions where a federal law enforcement or intelligence agency has suspected there may be documents with sensitive information in the possession of a former President and/or his staff, it has always been handled by federal staff and presidential staff getting together to go through documents. Such circumstances have never been handled in such a heavy-handed way with dozens of FBI agents conducting a pre-dawn raid on at a president’s residence of offices. Any such situation in the past have always been handled by coordinating between the Federal Government and staff members for a former president.
3) Such warrants and raids are typically conducted after gaining a grand jury approval. There is no grand jury included in this process.
My guess is that the warrant is a pretext that provides the FBI and DOJ an opportunity to look for evidence to bolster their claims that President Trump engaged in a plot for January 6th. And It is absolutely plausible that this raid and the efforts by the leadership of the January 6th Committee is specifically for the purpose of getting our federal courts to reach a ruling that states President Trump will be ineligible to every run for office again.
So far, the January 6th Committee has found no such evidence. In fact, the FBI released their official report on their January 6th investigation in August of 2021. The report concluded that they found no evidence of an Insurrection or conspiracy to commit Insurrection.
My suspicion is that this is just another desperate attempt to make sure that Donald Trump is demoralized and diminished in the eyes of voters. I believe their ultimate goal is to deny Donald Trump the opportunity to run for president again in 2024 or any other time. They are entirely afraid of Donald Trump and the booming success he achieved enacting conservative policies, programs, and legislation.
I do not know for certain, but yesterday’s events sures follows the same pattern of behaviors and evidence that has come to use since 2016. At every stage democrats and Washington insiders tried to annihilate Trump and deny him the ability to lead and conduct a successful presidency. They have failed miserably every time. I suspect this is just another such attempt.
We will see. If I am wrong about this, it will be the first time I have been wrong about all these topics thus far.
