We have now witnessed the actions and decisions of democrat governors and mayors during the Coronavirus pandemic, and the riots across the nation in the wake of police officers murdering George Floyd. These recent events are positive confirmations of what I have accused these governors and mayors of for some time now.
They refuse to respect the rights of citizens or uphold the laws of federal and state constitutions they swore to uphold.
Here is what they are guilty of.
Governors Whitmer, Cooper, Wolf, Cuomo, Newsom, and others refuse to listen to the majority of their citizens. Whether it was the arguments to protect personal privacy rights in bathrooms, locker rooms, showers and changing facilities during their pandering to transgenders. Or during the debates and conversations with law abiding citizens who want their second amendment rights supported to protect life, family, and property. They never listen to us… they just ignore us. And the national media helps with the ignoring by refusing to give our concerns and arguments any equal or fair attention. Most media spend their time arguing against us, telling us to shut up or even trying to shame us.
During the COVID19 ongoing response to the pandemic, they refused to listen to many doctors, medical and mental healthcare professionals when it became obvious that the draconian lockdowns were making things worse and not better. Citizens, business owners, and organizations had to take governors, mayors, and county officials to court BECAUSE they refused to listen and even discuss options, much less come to a compromise. Many sheriffs and law enforcement officials across the nation insisted these executive orders are unconstitutional, and thereby unenforceable.
As of this writing, Governor Cooper in my state of NC STILL has not released the data and information that he is using for the basis of his executive orders. He is required by state statute to share that information with his Council of State colleagues, and members of the General Assembly. The Council of State, General Assembly, business owners, and private citizen groups are taking legal action. Members of the media have also filed a lawsuit against the Governor because his refusal to share the information is a violation of law.
These governors and mayors had no problem violating citizens’ rights. They had no problem threatening and enforcing illegal and unconstitutional actions if citizens open their businesses and try to help their employees and families pay their bills and feed their families.
And now… we witness their failed response to the violence, riots, destruction of property and physical harm to citizens. People are committing crimes, destroying property, and physically assaulting others with impunity. The dictionary definition of ‘impunity’ is exemption from punishment or freedom from the injurious consequences of an action.
The mayors of Minneapolis and New York City have told law enforcement to “stand down”. Police were ordered to retreat and evacuate the third police precinct in Minneapolis by their mayor. This is precisely the opposite thing to do for several reasons. The violent criminals did not only burn down the building but used social media to celebrate their lawlessness and encourage others to do the same across the nation. Soon after, we began to see violent minded criminals do the very same thing in Philadelphia, New York City and elsewhere. Many highly experienced senior law enforcement officials made the case that this was the catalyst that encouraged others to do the same. Many experienced officials said that Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey made an unacceptable mistake in this decision.
If you doubt that democrats actually support the rioters and the idea that we should just accept riots and lawlessness, look no further than what the Fairfax County Virginia Democrat party tweeted yesterday. Keep in mind that the Fairfax Democrats are one of the most influential county organizations in the nation. Many of the Fairfax County Democrat voters work in career government roles in Washington DC.
That’s right. They actually tweeted, “Riots are an integral part of this country’s march towards progress”. You got that? The path to “progress” is riots, lawlessness and destruction.
It should be painfully obvious by now that Democrat Mayors and Governors have no problem ignoring law abiding citizens, violating their rights, and failing to serve them properly. They are equally willing to look the other way, enable and pander to people who have no respect for our laws, citizens, business owners or property rights. It is as if these Democrat officials see the criminals who have no self-respect or respect for others as their real constituents; while they see those of who are hardworking and law-abiding citizens as some nuisance to be ignored rather than served.
It is as if they see their primary duty is to the criminals and the rest of us are an afterthought.
