Prior to 2009 I had personally never been involved in politics other than merely researching candidates, their policy ideas, and showing up to vote.
That all changed for me after the election of Barack Obama. Between his illegal takeover of the GM Chrysler bankruptcy proceeding, to his absolutely UN-Affordable Care Act; It became obvious to me that he was going to try and radically change or transform America into some form of a less free, socialistic, central planning bureaucratic state.
Over the course of the next 10 years, my wife and I began organizing grassroots in North Carolina. This eventually led my wife to taking jobs in politics. After all she has a degree in political science but had never put that degree to work.
Between the years of 2009 and 2016 I served in various positions on the board of a regional Healthcare Financial Management Association. I provided leadership and helped organize large education events both in person and online that were specifically designed to unpack all of the details inside the Affordable Care Act. I learned so much about Obamacare I literally thought my head would explode. The more I learned about the details of the act, and the various thousands of pieces of bureaucratic policies that came about as a result of the act; there was no doubt in my mind that this was socialism being introduced into America. More specifically, I knew that there was no way that the Affordable Care Act was going to be able to deliver any of its promises. I knew from my experience in healthcare finance and from the details of the act that it would do precisely the opposite.
My wife and I got involved in politics back in 2009 for a variety of reasons. We watched as the Obama Administration, state and local government officials were enacting policies that would all most certainly make they lives of everyday Americans worse, not better.
We took it upon ourselves to meet with a number of representatives in Washington and elsewhere to push for Obamacare to be reversed. You can only image our emotional disappointment and outright anger with Senator John McCain and his turncoat decision to vote against repealing Obamacare.
Now this from the Biden Administration!
On January 21, President Biden had already been reversing or pausing some rules put in place under former President Donald Trump, including one designed to bring down the price of insulin. The Department of Health and Human Services announced that the Biden directive would put a stop to a number of healthcare related measures that were passed under Trump.
At the invitation of the White House, my wife and I attended the press event when President Trump signed his America First Healthcare reform Executive Order. Now Biden has reversed this policy and is screwing millions of Americans so his buddies at Big Pharma can get even more rich!
Watch this video of a mother whose son cannot live without his insulin. Her monthly prescription costs just jumped from $60 a month to $500 a month. How many millions of people who live on a fixed income can afford an 700% increase in the monthly cost for insulin or other life-saving drugs?
A 2018 study estimated that one vial of human insulin costs $2.28-$3.42 to produce, and one vial of analog insulin costs $3.69-$6.16 to produce. The study revealed that a year’s supply of human insulin could cost $48-$71 per patient, and analog insulin could cost $78-$133 per patient per year.
At $500 per month, that is more than a 6,000% mark-up in price over the cost of production for medicines that people must have, or they will die!
If you are not outraged by this, then I suggest you check yourself for a pulse, a soul and moral compass.
